Part (1)- Purpose: Ensures that invoices are not resubmitted for double payment. Part (2) How it could be best implemented in an integrated ERP system: A control field in a supplier invoice record can be set up to indicate that the document has been accessed using this technique. With its help, purchasing order and receiving report records can have a control field indicating that the document has been utilized to facilitate payment 2.
