Research on LAN (Local Area Network) Today's goal is to do research on the LAN (Local Area Network). In a single physical place, such as a building, business, home, or college, a local area network is a group of connected devices (LAN). Examples of small or large LANs include a user's home network and an office or school with many users and devices. Devices are connected to internal servers, web servers, and other LANs through WAN (Wide Area Network). Cables, access points, switches, routers, and other elements make comprise a LAN. The introduction of virtualization also made it possible for network administrators to separate their networks and logically organize network nodes using virtual LANs, which eliminates the need for major infrastructure changes. For instance, all the PCs in the accounting, IT support, and administrative departments of a large corporation may be conceptually connected to the same switch but split so that they run separately.
