ICT 3011.1.Background
In today’s business context, an effective enterprise architecture is of utmost importance to
compete with major companies around the world. Chubb Insurance have been on a ten-year
journey from being a localized business that serves as both an enterprise and business unit.
Handling many functionalities of the business such as business processes, works, and politics
come hand in hand with one another resulting in a very challenging process in the initial
phases. This is why companies need to create an effective EA that allows them to keep up
with the constant evolution in business systems. Ensuring their survival in the market and be
able to penetrate the market efficiently. EA enables companies to control their businesses if
successful as it is easier said than done as it is easy to define the policies but hard to
implement.
1.2.Purpose
The purpose of this report is to touch on the comparison between EA and EA3 with Chubb.
Initially, the CEO of Crown Jewels thought that their EA is ahead of the competition as they
believed their system contained all the components that are required. However, with the rise
of information technology the competition was heighten
