Abstract

This paper explores the "An Atlas of Upward Mobility Shows Paths Out of Poverty" article,

summarizes the main idea, and explains what the article writing about. The author’s point of

view, supporting evidence and my opinion are also discussed. The article talks about an

experiment that reveals the correlation between income and where someone grey up. The

message being portrayed through the article is that the younger a child is moved out, the

higher income. By moving these kids to a new and better neighborhood, it provides them

with better opportunities and more access to resources they probably wouldn't have before.

This paper examines David Leonhardt, Amanda Cox, and Claire Cain Miller's article as it

relates to the Moving to Opportunity experiment and the new data that is being used to

support their claims. The report is defended by evidence from the data, family examples, and

known researchers involved in the research.
