Justin Fursov 73554278 Lab 8am Monday EECS170A 3 September 2016 Experiment #1 Pre-Lab Input Impedance-Affects the accuracy of your measurements Signal waveforms- Sinusoidal waveform, square waveform, sawtooth, and pulses. Key parameters-amplitude, period, frequency, duty factor, delay time, rising time, falling time, and pulse width. Source Impedance-the source also has an input impedance. Objective: In this first experiment, we will be getting comfortable with our lab equipment. We will be asked to display different waveforms using the function generator and measure it using an oscilloscope, without using the auto-setup function! Then we will be measuring the input impedance of the DVM, which, using DC, should be an all real impedance, so we can call this the input resistance. The oscilloscope measures AC waveforms, so there will be a real and imaginary part for the impedance. I have to be careful about the function generator because there is a source impedance.
