Background: Integrating plyometric exercises into a training program is one of several methods
a coach can focus on for the improvement of power output in their athletes. These exercises
involve precise movements for proper execution. Key features that an athlete must master
include jumping and landing mechanics, joint stability, triple extension, and balance. As a coach,
it is important to properly describe and demonstrate these movements to be a model for the
athletes you are training.
Part 1: Defining Plyometrics and Movements

| Plyometric |
A type of exercise training that uses speed and force of different
movements to build muscle power. |
| Jump |
To push yourself using your feet into the air. |
| Bound |
To walk or run with leaping strides. |
| Hop |

Part 2: Differing Execution Techniques
