P1 Produce a research proposal that clearly defines a research
question or hypothesis supported by a literature review.
As we all know amount of data created and stored globally is expected to
reach 175 Zettabytes by 2025, a six-fold increase from 2018. This will
demand additional hardware and power consumption, which; in turn, will
increase the environmental impact of the digital sector.
Thus I have decided to perform an intense research on this topic. For that
before beginning the task, I wrote a research proposal that can give my
superiors an overview.

Section One: The Environmental Impact of Digital Transformation
My major goal is to demonstrate that the world's technological development
and digital transformation are having a significant influence on the
environment. If the modern day tech businesses do not care about the
environment, it will soon have a negative impact on those companies.
I feel it is my duty, to collect information, process it, and determine how the
digital transformation affects the environment, businesses, users, and the
overall working of the world. I will thus provide a few thoughtful suggestions
for minimizing the environmental effect of the digital transition.

The main reason for choosing this topic for research was – the amount of data

Based on my subject, I will use the qualitative research approach for my
specific assignment. The use of the qualitative research approach would be
desirable. Quantitative research will be less significant since the information
that a corporation or business needs to keep secure cannot be quantified by a
precise number or value. My study analysis will take into account information
provided by a person via understanding, learning a little bit about the topic's
background, complexity, etc.
