1.It causes suffering and debilitating injuries to patients; if addressed, patients will remain safe while
in hospital and get discharged on time.
2. The injuries cost the hospital a lot of money; if addressed, the hospital will save money.
3. The falls will affect patient satisfaction and lower the HCAHPS. This will affect medicare
reimbursement.
