ABSTRACT
A network vulnerability scanning is a method that allows organizations to check security
weaknesses within their networks, systems, and applications that could expose them to attacks.
DLP (Data loss prevention) is a set of processes used to ensure that sensitive data is not lost,
misused, or accessed by unauthorized users. It helps to meet compliance and auditing
requirements of the system by providing reporting risks and threats tools. It also helps in
identifying the areas of weakness and anomalies for forensics and incident response.
In this project, we will be using the tool called Acunetix for testing network vulnerabilities of
web applications. We will be determining the risks and specific targets where threats are
possible. Getting the data from this tool, we will focus on one network security problem i.e., data
access and data loss. For solving this problem of security, we will be using data encryption using
cryptography. Data encrypting using a cipher will transform information into unreadable form
to all users except the one who has the key to decrypt the data. Even if attackers bypass
the access control policies, they still need the encryption keys to decrypt the data. Process of
encryption depends on the algorithm and the key used to encrypt the data. Here we have
proposed the idea of data encryption using Data Encryption Standard (DES)The main aim of this
project is to present a complete model for data security
