Pick Twelve Game 1. I picked the criminal case against the teenager killing someone in a drunk driving accident and I was for the prosecution. 2. The factors that influences me to pick or skip was their history and amount of jury duty they worked, also the decisions made in that case. One juror I picked was a father of a girl who was injured in a hit and run accident. He would most likely be for the prosecution, because of his history with accidents. A juror i didn't choose was a man who is a recovering alcoholic, he would most likely not be for the prosecution, as he understands and has a history with alcohol. 3. I scored a 53 and it was challenging finding jurors with enough information for me to pick. Most jurors that i had were young with no experience, or not a good choice for prosecution. 4. I have learned that a jury can make or break a case for your side (prosecution or defense) and having the right jury can help you with your case. Courts in a Nutshell 1. The judicial power of the United States should be invested in one Supreme Court and other inferior courts may be established by Congress from time to time. 2. For the most part, federal courts only hear: Cases in which the United States is aparty; Cases involving violations of the U.S. Constitution or federal laws, the only other case in which a federal court would hear a case is if the amount in contreversy exceeds $75,000. 3.
