It can refer to other specific Method Statements, for example – pavement construction, drainage etc. DESCRIPTION DETAILS Item Person Responsible 1 PURPOSE, SCOPE AND LOCATION MAP 1.1 PURPOSE This Method Statement provides the methodology to be adopted to carry out the Micro-tunneling works for Roads and Infrastructure in Um Slal Ali, Um Ebairiya/Village South Um Al Amad & North Bu Fessela Package 01. This Method Statement will be in compliance with technical specification of the contract documents and QCS2014 requirement. The purpose of Micro-tunneling is installing the pipeline using trenchless construction methods with no disruptions of flow of traffic and minimizing cost and impact in the environment and population. 1.2 SCOPE This Method Statement covers the Micro-tunneling Works Roads and Infrastructure in Um Slal Ali, Um Ebairiya/Village South Um Al Amad & North Bu Fessela Package 01, using closed faced slurry machines by M/s HERRENKNECHT (AVN) from Germany. Scope of works:  Install RC jacking pipes ID400, ID600, ID800 and ID3000 by Microtunneling method.  Annular space grouting between jacking pipe and ground periphery once the pipework has been visually inspected / tested. 1.3 ABBREVIATIONS 2 MANDATORY INDUCTION, TRAINING, SUPERVISION AND INSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS Occupational Health, Safety & Security Management and Control: All personnel will carry out their Health & Safety responsibilities in accordance with the Project OHSS plan and the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
